Project proposal for free Dental camp for three days, organized by Lharje Sorig Foundation (LSF), Summor Nubra, financially supported by Stiching Hulp aan Nubra, the Netherlands in Lamdon Model School, Sumoor in Nubra region of Ladakh.
In the project proposed by Lharje Sorig Foundation, Lamdon Model School, Sumoor is being selected for the Dental camp. The school has currently about 344 students pursuing their education. The area was selected keeping in view the persisting dental problem mostly among the students. Almost 70 – 80 percent population of ladakh, suffers from the problem and it is more particular among the children. The main cause behind this is the lack of awareness among them.
The main objective of this project is to extend free dental health awareness among the students and also to their parents. Creating awareness among the people will help prevent such problem in the beginning itself, as many people are unaware of the health and hygiene and other preventive measures related to dental care. In this regard, we have decided to put our focus and time on the dental education awareness. Along with that, free medical supplies like toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash and other necessities will be distributed among the patients.
This is the 4th time Lharje Sorig Foundation is organizing the camp with financial support by Stiching Hulp aan Nubra, the Netherlands. The camp is an outcome of the previous feedback from people and students which was overwhelming.
